Backstabbed in a fight

A 27-year-old Lodi man was stabbed in the back at around 11 p.m. Thursday after he got caught up in a brawl near his home. Lodi Police Sgt. Mike Oden said that Anthony Wilson stepped outside of his home in the 300 block of Eden Street to check on a commotion near his home and found a large group of Hispanic males fighting with each other. When Wilson turned his back on the crowd, he was stabbed once on the leftside of his torso. He was treated at Lodi Memorial Hospital and released, according to hospital staff. The men were still fighting when officers arrived at the scene, Oden said. Some were on foot while others were on bikes. Officers, however, did not find any weapons. As of Friday morning, Oden said police had no suspects.
