An off-ice fight at the end of a Minor Hockey Week game in Edmonton has led to assault charges against a 16-year-old teenage spectator. Police allege someone in the stands became upset when something happened to his brother on the ice during the game at an arena in the city’s northeast Sunday night. When the game ended, a player from the other team was allegedly assaulted after he left the ice. Another player and an adult who attempted to intervene were also allegedly assaulted. No one was seriously injured and several parents were able to hold the suspect until officers arrived.
